Kimono Experience
A quiet moment, dressed in Japan.
More Than Waiting
Even the waiting becomes a part of your journey.
Slip into a kimono, take a photo in front of the mirror, feel the quiet air of Japan drift through the room.
Even a small pocket of time can become a moment of touching Japanese culture.
Wednesday Stroll
On Wednesdays, walk through Yanaka in kimono.
On Wednesdays only, guests who wish may be dressed in kimono and step out for a stroll through the neighbourhood.
Wander through the old shopping street, visit Nezu Shrine, take the long way home along the lanes — an unhurried afternoon, dressed in the Tokyo of a hundred years ago.
A quieter way of being in Tokyo, not chased by the clock.
A Simple Experience
Not a rental. A small extension of your time here.
This is not a formal kimono rental service.
It is simply a way to make the time you spend at Hugh a little more special.
Wear it with your new hair, however feels right — and keep it as a small memory of your journey.
Interested?
For a small moment inside the salon — a kimono over your shoulders, a photograph by the mirror — simply ask any of our staff on the day. For the Wednesday Stroll, kindly reserve in advance, so we may set aside the time and prepare quietly for your arrival.
